My favorite quote is from Karen McQuestion who spent almost a decade submitting her book to New York publishers, then gave up and self-published it through Amazon. 36,000 sales later, she has this to say:
“All of this time I have been trying to get traditionally published, I was sending my manuscript to the wrong coast.”
